After making the great sea change to Yamba in 2022 with her young family, Bec quickly realised one housing-related career simply wasn’t enough. With a strong background in new home construction and business administration, she brought her skills into real estate and has become an invaluable part of our team ever since.

Having worked within the business for some time, Bec has grown through the holiday letting department from Holiday Assistant to now proudly stepping into the role of Holiday Property Manager. Her progression reflects her dedication, attention to detail, and genuine passion for delivering outstanding service to both property owners and guests.

By day, Bec is the friendly and capable point of contact for all things holiday property. By afternoon, she’s cheering on her kids at sport, enjoying the Yamba coastline, or relaxing with a good book — laundry optional.

Melinda Gillespie

Holiday Property Manager Iluka

Mel Gillespie is the local expert behind First National Iluka’s holiday accommodation magic. Born and bred right here in Iluka, (and known as Minnie to the locals) Mel took a brief detour to Brisbane and seven years ago, she returned to her hometown with her husband and two lively boys in tow, ready to raise a family and reclaim her coastal postcode.

By day, Mel is a powerhouse holiday property manager—juggling bookings and guest queries with the precision of a seasoned professional (and maybe a touch of mum superpower). She’s got a real passion for all things real estate… and an equally strong passion for binging the latest Netflix series. So yes, she’ll organise your holiday booking like a pro—and she will predict the plot twist before the opening credits finish. Mel’s the go-to for anything holiday-stay related—whether you’re listing your property or just wondering which drawer the corkscrew goes in. Friendly, sharp, and always up for a chat, she keeps things running smoothly so guests can relax—and owners can rest easy. With local knowledge, real estate savvy, and a whole lot of personality, Mel’s not just managing properties—she’s making holidays happen

Having lived in Yamba her entire life, Torah has a genuine connection to the local community and a passion for the region she proudly calls home. With a long-standing interest in real estate and previous experience in holiday property management, she brings valuable industry knowledge and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Known for her friendly smile, positive attitude and eagerness to learn, Torah enjoys supporting both clients and her team to ensure every interaction is a positive one. Her approachable nature, strong work ethic and willingness to take on new challenges make her a valued member of the First National Yamba team.

Fresh out of high school and straight into the world of real estate, Izzy McEwen brings youthful energy, enthusiasm, and a big smile to the team. Having lived in Iluka for a number of years before recently making the move to Yamba, Izzy already knows the Lower Clarence lifestyle and loves being part of this close-knit coastal community.

Bubbly, friendly, and eager to learn, Izzy has jumped headfirst into her role and is quickly finding her feet, always happy to help and keen to soak up everything the industry has to offer.

When she’s not at work, you’ll likely find Izzy enjoying everything coastal life has to offer — spending time with friends, soaking up the sunshine, and embracing her new chapter in Yamba. Louise leads marketing and property presentation across First National Yamba and Iluka, shaping compelling campaigns that showcase properties at their best and deliver strong results for both holiday letting and sales. Working closely with the holiday management and sales teams, she oversees professional photography, video production, social media, and digital campaigns — ensuring every property receives cohesive, high-impact online exposure.

With extensive experience in tourism, hospitality, and international creative work, Louise brings a strategic and creative edge to property marketing. Her background spans diverse cultures through extensive global travel, giving her a unique perspective that sits at the heart of her work in real estate media production and brand storytelling. These skills, combined with hands-on expertise in content creation and digital engagement, allow her to craft campaigns that engage the right audience and drive meaningful outcomes.
